Gospel Artiste Jermaine Gordon has gone ‘outside of the box’ with a new music and video.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
JUNE 2, 2017 – Kingston, Jamaica
More dance music for gospel music lovers! The award-winning lyricist, composer, producer and Jamaican-born gospel artiste Jermaine Gordon is set to release an electronic dance music version (EDM) of one of his hit songs along with its music video on June 30, 2017. The song has become a huge favourite Jamaican worship song and is being performed in many Caribbean, English-speaking and Spanish-speaking countries in both North & South America.
The mix was done by Dan Giffin, a drummer and audio engineer from Indianapolis, trained as a Mastering Engineer by the Multi-Platinum, Grammy, and Emmy-nominated audio engineer – Daniel Wyatt.
Gordon says the experience has been mutually beneficial as Dan was more than delighted to work with a Gospel Artiste from out of ‘music island’ – Jamaica. Gordon is excited about releasing this project then travelling to New Jersey in June 2017 to a predominantly Caucasian congregation where he will be conducting workshops on How to use Caribbean and Reggae music in worship.
“I funded the project through my savings. Most local musicians and gospel artistes fund their own projects with little or no support from external funding agencies.’ Gordon shared.
“If you want the vision to not become your lifelong nightmare, you have to develop the ‘I am doing this’ attitude. Think it. See it. Then do it. Boom.”
“I so wanted to create music that my young sons, young people and other music lovers could appreciate while on the treadmill, out jogging, at the beach or out having a good time and keeping a good and healthy vibe.” Gordon continued.
Minister Gordon, hopes this will become a favourite in the Caribbean, Europe, Africa, US and Australia and says it is certainly the first of more EDMs to be done. He also believes other artistes will follow suit, as this presents an alternate style to music typically being produced in Jamaica.
Fans of Jermaine Gordon can expect more new releases in 2017, as since doing his debut album in 2012, fans have been eagerly awaiting new music.
Gordon says that at 12:01 am on June 30, 2017 the audio recording and music video will be made available for listening and viewing as well as for download from the major online digital music distributors, including iTunes and Google Music.
